My Story

 

Hi, I’m Sheria Dawson, founder of Here As Needed Care LLC. For more than 26 years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for seniors and adults in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, hospice, and private homes. Throughout my career, I noticed something that stayed with me. Many families weren’t just looking for a caregiver. They were looking for someone they could trust. Someone who would treat their loved one with patience. Someone who would take time to listen. Someone who truly cared.

 

I created Here As Needed Care because I wanted families to have that person. To me, caregiving isn’t about checking boxes. It’s about protecting someone’s dignity. It’s about making sure no one feels forgotten. It’s about making families feel at peace knowing someone is there who genuinely cares. Every visit is personal. Every client matters. Every family becomes part of ours.
